Last Fathers' Day, I interviewed my son about his father and typed it all up in a card for my husband. I printed a picture of Rick and Carl Grimes from "The Walking Dead" on the front, because my family is fun like that.
He loved it. He still has it hanging up at work a year later, and he gets compliments from coworkers on it all the time.
About a month later, I decided my blog should have an "About Me" page, but I didn't know what to write. So I asked my son to write it for me, and I turned it into its own post.
This year, the fabulous, famous and hilarious Amber Dusick of Parenting: Illustrated With Crappy Pictures took the idea and ran with it for her own baby daddy. Hers is an adorable little video that is totally safe to watch in front of your kids.
Well, maybe not that safe, because if your kids are anything like mine, they will want to watch it 50 times. The boy is a huge Crappy Pictures fan. He always reads it over my shoulder and asks me "what's that baby doin'?" And ever since Amber and her crappy kids created the Poop Monster, I cannot visit her site without the boy begging to see that video.
But I will forgive her for turning my son into a Poop Monster addict, because today, she has crappified us! If you're wondering what the boy and I look like, and you've been trying to piece it together based on my fake-cartoon picture up top, and the pics of the back of his head that I'm always posting, now you can see what we'd look like if we were stick figures! I'm very excited. And I'm sure you can imagine the boys reaction when I told him. I think he's under the impression that he gets to meet the Poop Monster now.
Why are you still here? Go over there and see Crappy Jenn and Crappy The Boy in all their glory!
